The Bombay High Court has issued a notice to the Government of India after a group of gas distributors filed a petition seeking an increase in the supply of domestic LPG cylinders, citing growing shortages and rising demand across several regions.

Amid growing concerns over LPG shortages in several regions, Union Minister Suresh Gopi has assured that the government is actively taking steps to stabilize supply and bring the situation under control as quickly as possible.

Restaurant owners and small food businesses say delays in gas supply have forced them to reduce operations, raising concerns about the impact on the food industry and urban consumers.
